Governance and management structures for markets

We worked with ROI Team, a specialist market and retail research company to carry out a review of management models used across UK markets for NABMA (National Association of British Market Authorities). The study involved in depth interviews with market managers and operators across the country to look at models in place outside the traditional local authority one. The alternative models ranged from co-operatives to traders’ federations and community interest companies and considered the legal framework in which different markets operate.

In London, we have independently extended this work further looking at the legislation (LLAA and Food Act) and structuring CICs and trader groups.
